Hey, everyone! How are you doing out there? Did everyone survive intact? We hope no one suffered any morning after ill-effects. :)

If you turned in your piece, by now you should have gotten confirmation from either sdk or myself (or possibly both of us!). If you've emailed it in but didn't hear back, we haven't got it. Please send it in again! Our email is fwfdrunkmods@gmail.com.

You have until midnight EDT Sunday to turn in your piece if you haven't already. Remember, no editing allowed! If you passed out before you finished or need to add a header, that's acceptable, but no correcting or editing with the fics and/or art itself.

We'll be posting all pieces anonymously on Monday all in one go and then voting will commence! A post on voting will go up then as well, with all the details.

We are so excited to share all of the drunken masterpieces!! :D

Good morning or good whatever time it is in fellow FWFers' local time zones! Less than an hour until noon local time and I'm only now getting online for the first time today. No hangover and got a good start on making words of fic last night. Will continue here -- starting with reading whatever comments I missed so far this morning -- after I go get a breakfast beer and commence The Drunkening.

I'm currently chugging a Monster "Ultra Golden Pineapple" energy drink which for some reason was at the Dollar Tree for $1.25 when I'm used to Monsters being too expensive to buy often.

I still have leftover Mike's Harder Lemonade in the fridge, so I think I'm going to get my drunk back on and see if I can tack on an ending to a story that otherwise fizzled out when I got distracted and started watching YouTube last night.

I've never tried any energy drinks. When I want that extra-energy feeling I have a cup or two of "Wake the Hell Up" extra-caffeinated coffee by Utica Coffee Roasting Company.

I did the drunkening late and *thought* I was working on something for this but woke up this morning to realize I'd written an hilaribad sex scene for the story I'm currently working on. *headdesk*

I might take another crack at it tonight after we get back from dinner and drinks with friends.

Espresso Vodka Martini update

I decided tghatg tghe 50/50 mix of vodka and Kahlua was sweeter than the sweetness level I like, aded another 2 oz of vodka. Mmmmmmm....that's good...burns a bit but i'ts a good burn. (Heh, isn'r "burns a bti but it's a good burn" loke a lien I"ve seen in porn timea nsand aagin?)

HOly cawroap, all those tyupes! Modt typos I've ever typoed during FWF. And yet I suspect I will still gt the "most coherent" booby prize fr my fic. /o\

I'd really like to try an espresso Martini, but I'm also afraid the caffeine will screw up my sleeping patterns. :/
So I keep hoping that someday caffeine-free instant coffee will be on offer in my local supermarket (for some reason it's always just the regular kinds of coffee that are put on offer, never the de-caf.)

We had floral daiquiris with dinner (sushi) tonight, but not for the purpose of Drunkening for the purpose of Writening! Just to enjoy.

I admire your perseverance and I am cheering you on!!! YAYZ for the story coming along!!! And you are finally making typos, w00t!!!

TODS found the floral daiquiri recipe somewhere and it's amazing ... lavender syrup, elderflower liqueur, creme de violette, white rum, lime juice, and muddled blueberries. Sooooo yummy! You might find it a little sweet, but it's a very delicate flavor, not a heavy one.

I'm not sure how, but I didn't have a hangover this morning! I nibbled on peanuts during the Crabbie's & Cherry (I had a vague idea from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy that it might help), and then the second drink was practically a chocolate milkshake, and I also drank a lot of water alongside both drinks.

I went to bed midnight-ish and slept until noon-ish, interrupted several times by having to get up at the beckoning of the bladder, as one might expect, but each time I fell immediately back to sleep.

Very excited to see everyone's fics next week!!!

I'm still up and ficcing at 3:15 AM local time but getting more sober as the post-alcohol time increases, and since the FWF rule is that while one is writing one is drinking, and I don't want to start a NEW round of getting buzzed at 3:15 AM, I will soon be going off to sleep, with plans to have breakfast beer and more ficcing soon after waking up.
