Hey, everyone! How are you doing out there? Did everyone survive intact? We hope no one suffered any morning after ill-effects. :)

If you turned in your piece, by now you should have gotten confirmation from either sdk or myself (or possibly both of us!). If you've emailed it in but didn't hear back, we haven't got it. Please send it in again! Our email is fwfdrunkmods@gmail.com.

You have until midnight EDT Sunday to turn in your piece if you haven't already. Remember, no editing allowed! If you passed out before you finished or need to add a header, that's acceptable, but no correcting or editing with the fics and/or art itself.

We'll be posting all pieces anonymously on Monday all in one go and then voting will commence! A post on voting will go up then as well, with all the details.

We are so excited to share all of the drunken masterpieces!! :D

I'm currently chugging a Monster "Ultra Golden Pineapple" energy drink which for some reason was at the Dollar Tree for $1.25 when I'm used to Monsters being too expensive to buy often.

I still have leftover Mike's Harder Lemonade in the fridge, so I think I'm going to get my drunk back on and see if I can tack on an ending to a story that otherwise fizzled out when I got distracted and started watching YouTube last night.

I've never tried any energy drinks. When I want that extra-energy feeling I have a cup or two of "Wake the Hell Up" extra-caffeinated coffee by Utica Coffee Roasting Company.

Some days I don't even feel functional enough to make coffee so having a can of caffeine on hand is useful. (Though with the cost of fizzy drinks rising so much, I'm drinking a lot less cola and energy drinks and instead drinking a lot more coffee.)

Heh, I use K-Cups, doesn't call for feeling functional first.

I'm a k-cup coffee drinker but my daughter does energy drinks and yes, they and soda are both getting super expensive. I can't believe how much a 12 pack of soda is now.

Yeah, it's crazy. I think the price of soda pop has literally doubled in just a few years.

When my son is home from college, I'll pick some up (the rest of us are trying to drink less) and the last time I got some that there wasn't any kind of "deal" on it was over $7. Though frankly the flavored seltzers I started drinking instead are also at least a dollar more than they used to be plus then tend to only have 8 cans in a box. Might as well drink the damn diet Coke.

Not that many years ago, a 12-pack went for about $6 full price, but you could nearly always find that either Pepsi or Coke was on sale for only $4 for a 12-pack (though sometimes you had to buy multiples to get that price). And since I'm not a brand loyalist, I'd just buy whichever brand was cheapest. Now I sometimes look at the prices and just don't buy any at all, because even the "sale" prices are more than full price used to be. It's so annoying. Give me this one vice! Let me drink fizzy drinks at a price I can afford!

My favorite energy drinks were Venom which were pre-priced at $0.99 and now even those have gone up to $1.29 (and they are harder to find as more expensive competitiors are taking over the shelves).

I'm about to call it a day. Stry isn't great, but I cannot get drunk three days in a row, so whatever I end up with today is the final version.
