Quick clarification for newbies: you don't have to use all the prompts--though that does make for a fun fic!--but since one of the categories for voting is "Best Use of Prompt" we do recommend using at least one. We try to have a few prompts each round that are not HP-specific.

As you know, this is the Official Discussion Post. If you feel like chatting, and we hope you do, pop in here and let us know how it's going. Please do not discuss your fic/art. You can discuss ideas, drinks, how wasted you are, your favorite actors or musicians, the state of the world (a nice, safe topic LOL), or whatever floats your boat. Just don't discuss your fic/art. This is an anonymous fest until after the reveal, and we don't want hints being given as to what you're writing about. :)

And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but though we're getting more diversity, we're still fairly HP-focused. Anything goes!

So the universe is trying to get in my way - we didn't have our usual Friday night drinks with dinner (because reasons, totally legit), and then I got a frantic text message from a colleague that required me to do an extra half-hour of work right after dinner ... but I recently rewatched Jurassic Park and my motto is SMUT FINDS A WAY!!!

I'll just bring up some extra alcohol to enjoy while writing, since I didn't have a chance to lay down a base during dinner. It's all good! Hm, maybe I can throw something together with that new bottle of chocolate-flavored Baileys and the extra chocolate milk I accidentally wound up with. And ice cream! (But I'm starting with alcoholic ginger beer and diet cherry pepsi.)

I have a plot bunny and it's hopping! It was a vague impression until a while ago and now it is roaring to life. (Do bunnies roar???)

I am feeling very tipsy but my typing does not reflect it sufficiently. People will just have to believe I am way too competent at drunk!typing.

I feel you on the "way too competent at drunk!typing". I think that's why I keep getting the dread "Most Coherent" Award FWF after FWF.

My typing is super inconssitent. Random typos. An entire sentence full of difficult words all spelled correctly. And then an entire sentence where it turns out my fingers were ont he wrong keys.

Oh, that's me too. Really randomly off and on.

Jalapeno Pickle Margaritas OMG, I read your description down below and they sound very impressive, but you may keep them ALL to yourself while I content myself with finishing off the Salted Caramel Bailey's with chocsy milk, chocsy ice cream, and white rum! (I thought the Chocolate Bialey's might be one choc too many. One toke over the line, sweet Bailey's!)

Your Bailey's drink sounds yummy (and LOL for "one toke over the line, sweet Bailey's") but this particular night I'm in the mood for savory cocktails rather than sweet cocktails. I could deffo go for that Salted Caramel version some other time though.

Ice cream and Bailey's sounds like an excellent hcoice. (Have you ever had "Rumchata"? I, alas, don't have any on hand,b ut it also mixes very nicely with ice cream.)

Rumchata! Yum! At Christmas-time one of my co-workers gave me a bottle of Rumchata and a Rumchata recipe pamphlet.

I have heard the word but I don't know what it is exactly! I shall have to google it! Or gargle it!

It's basically alcoholic horchata (so very sweet and mixes well with ice cream ... and a friend once used it to make whipped cream to put on pumpkin pie).
