Yep, this is the kind of "next post" I meant.

I'm still diligently working on my drunk!fic and still diligently refraining from sobriety. I am having some actual food now -- oatmeal -- but the cranberries I put in the oatmeal are the ones I've had soaking in vodka since Friday, plus I'm having more Prosecco.

The oatmeal turned out to taste like just cranberries, but did have a noticeable little "kick".

Haha. Well my gummies and writing experiment was a bust. I went upstairs to get a snack an hour in and then spent the rest of the night with my elderly aunt, shrieking, gasping and exuberantly flabbergasted by the Winter Olympics. It was... an adventure for sure. 🤣🤣

I *think* I might have written a dozen or so words s of gay hockey porn romance before being distracted... 🤣🏒🌈🤣

I was VERY high last night when I started writing. My mistake was drinking... I was doing OK on 4 THC gummies in 4 hours... the two canned alcoholic margaritas put me to sleep ficcing! I woke up around midnight (my dog woke me to go out), still high af, so I finished my fic, barely... and today I completed the header info (sober!) and emailed it.

I'm too distractable and fumble fingered - especially under the influence - to do both social posting AND ficcing at the same time (sorry about that) and this is the second FWF where the alcohol, not the THC, took me down. (I'm not saying THC _won't_ take me down, eventually; it's just that I seem to last longer in terms of consciousness on THC alone - because the combo DEFINITELY takes me down, once alcohol gets in the mix!)

And this is using ONLY "fun" THC gummies (sativa), NOT the ones for sleep/pain (indica), btw. 😆 (I don't take the sleep/pain gummies very often because I don't want to develop a tolerance - I really need them to work when I need them to!)

It just seems that any combo of THC and alcohol just synergistically enhances the sleepy effects of both. On top of my age and chronic issues, the mix just works terribly for staying awake to fic! 🤷‍♀️

I was going to just drink and fic and not spend any time on a proper meal until after I finished my fic, but at about 7:00 PM local time my spouse insisted on taking me out for dinner after seeing me just drinking and not eating all day. Now it's 9:30 and I've got 2 1/2 hours to get redrunk and finish my drunk!fic.

*goes to retrieve some Imperial Stout from the wine-and-beer cellar*

I had every intention. I went upstairs to borrow some vodka. My new friend Chloe was dogsitting. We finished off a bottle of vodka and started on the next. I was not able to create a piece of art for tonight, but I believe I have made a life-long friend and that ain't nothin'!
