Firewhiskeyfic is FRIDAY, APRIL 12! So don't start drinking yet--at least not for the event! :D
For this Birds and Bees Edition, we highly recommend Cocktails Named After Birds!
Why not start off with a Thirsty Crow...
If bees are more your style, how about the Bees Knees!
The festivities will begin at 10PM BST/5PM EDT/2PM PDT on Friday April 12! Hopefully, the time works for you but remember that you can come and go as you please, start early, leave late. It's all good as long as while you are writing, you're drinking. :D
We are hosting on our DW community again this round. If you do not have a DW account (yet *g*), you should be able to comment with OpenID or anonymously.

A rundown of the rules. A more thorough explanation will be posted on the night of the event.
1. This round will take place on Friday, April 12, 10PM BST/5PM EDT/2PM PDT (and last until you finish or pass out). Due to sucky time zones mucking everything up, if you'd like to start earlier or later, that's fine!
2. Your fic and/or art will be due approximately 48 hours from the challenge start time. For this round, that means Sunday, April 14 by midnight your time. (We would prefer to turn them in the same night or the next morning, but we understand drunk/hangover emailing might be a tad too challenging.)
Please note: The extra time provided may not be used for editing or adding on or fixing typos, etc. (If you were too drunk to add a header, please add one when sober. ;)) Also note: NO BETAS ALLOWED. We recommend you don't even look at or reread your submission before turning it in. (You can be surprised right along with the rest of us!)
3. Submissions will be posted anonymously on April 15th and voting will be open for various categories through Friday, April 19th. Please vote! (But not for yourself! :P)
4. All fandoms are welcome! We're traditionally very HP-focused here, but if you get inspired to go Marvel or Supernatural or Doctor Who, etc., etc. (or a crossover!) that's totally fine.
5. And finally, you must be of legal drinking age in your country in order to participate.

6. This is a 420-friendly event for those who'd like an alternative to alcohol.

And is it just me, or doesn't the prompt of "Gilderoy Lockhart" call for flashy, extravagant drinks with glitter and umbrellas?

5 cl vodka
1 lime
1 tablespoon honey
1 rock sugar stick (you know, those wooden sticks with rock sugar)
Cut the lime in smaller pieces, and muddle them with honey in the shaker. Add crushed ice and vodka. Shake a little and pour into a low-ball glass. Add a rock sugar stick and stir lightly before serving.
The phrase "the birds and the bees" is "the flowers and the bees" in Danish, so my mind went towards flower-inspired drinks as well:
"Rumbo Flower"
4 cl white rum (or whatever rum you have at hand)
3 cl elderflower syrup
1 dash freshly squeezed lemon juice
A lemon peel spiral
Mineral water (the carbonated kind)
Pour rum, elderflower syrup and lemon juice into a tall glass with crushed ice. Add a lemon peel spiral, stir and top off with mineral water.
The recipe points out (very helpfully) that this drink also can be made by the pitcher...
