Hey, everyone! How are you doing out there? Did everyone survive intact? We hope no one suffered any morning after ill-effects. :)

If you turned in your piece, by now you should have gotten confirmation from either sdk or myself. If you've emailed it in but didn't hear back, we haven't got it. Please send it in again! Our email is fwfdrunkmods@gmail.com.

You have until midnight EDT Monday to turn in your piece if you haven't already. Remember, no editing allowed! If you passed out before you finished a header, that's acceptable to add to, but no correcting or messing with the fics and/or art itself.

We'll be posting all pieces anonymously on Tuesday all in one go and then voting will commence! A post on voting will go up then as well, with all the details.

We are so excited to share all of the drunken masterpieces!! :D

Eeep! It's 7:25 AM local time and I just woke up sitting in a chair in my front-room, still fully dressed from yesterday. Never got into my pajamas and into bed. I don't remember opening this half-empty bottle of beer that's on the end-table and I see the glass of wine across the room that I poured last night and then lost track of over there. I want to continue working on my fic, but I really don't feel like finishing off this beer and this wine first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Always before during FWF I got my fic done before I zonked out...didn't have to hold off on writing until I got "re-drunk".

Eep! Food and perhaps some fresh drinks would be best. As much as we like to drink, not getting ill is important too!

Well, just drinking a lot of water for starters. Not either food or alcohol until this queasy feeling passes (not so much queasy from drinking-- more like because I woke up hours earlier than usual after a drunken sleep sitting up in a chair).

(I did pause The Drunkening for a while today so I could hydrate properly and eat something, but now at 7:30 local time I've got the rest of that bottle of wine to finish and then some Newcastle Ale..and drunk!fic to finish writing.)

Thanks for yet another edition of Firewhiskey Fic! I was chatting with a friend on FB Messenger during this, and apparently I managed to lure him into opening a bottle of whiskey himself, haha. (And some of his input was the only reason I actually managed to write something last night, so in a way he participated also *g*)

I am alive and well and even experiencing fewer morning-after regrets than usual. (There's always the post-submission 2am "give it back! Let me edit it!" compulsion but I successfully resisted the urge.)

I always resist the urge, but seriously every time, I'll have that moment where I want to fix things. (Which is why it's always a better plan for me to submit what I've written the night of so I'm less tempted.)

Thank you kindly, yes, I am fine this Monday morning. High tolerance, ya know. And as usual, I know that The Drunkening freed me to write wildly and without editing, but I also know that however wild my fic it won't have scaled the heights of incoherence achieved by those with a lower tolerance for alcohol.

Feeling great. For some reason my family doesn't seem to suffer from hangovers... so we've got that one thing going for us. :D

OTOH, I can't exactly remember what I wrote about and what I *think* I can remember doesn't seem like something I'd write so... I'd consider that a FWF success story! ;D
