I read all the entries and I want to do comments on all of them before I vote. I did comments on 7 of them yesterday and I'll do comments on the rest of them today, then I'll do my voting on Friday night or Saturday.

Just finished doing comments on all the entries. It's now 1:00 AM local time. Gonna get some sleep before voting. Some tough choices to be made! (Tough choices about voting, not about sleeping LOL.)

Whew! it's been a long time since I felt like EVERY CATEGORY IS A TIE. So, if you don't win anything, friends, know that I adored your fic but was only allowed to pick one per category.

Also, glad to get it in under the wire. Work has been bananas this week AND I think I've finally caught Covid (a member of my household has it, and even though I tested negative this afternoon, I've got some symptoms going on). So it was really a "let's power through this" situation with finishing the reading/commenting/voting today.

I also want to share my tip for figuring out how to vote when there are tons of entries: I have set up a separate doc into which I copy-paste my comments as well as which categories I think the entry might be in the running for. Then I can evaluate the fics for the various categories based on how I commented.

I say this because the last several FWF votes have been really hard to keep track of, and I thought others might want to hear my strategy for keeping track. If you have a strategy to share, let's hear it, too!

Thanks. Testing again tomorrow :-/ and if I be home test is negative, I’ll get a PCR, since I really need to know how long to isolate (I can work from home if my symptoms don’t worsen, but I need to let folks know if I wont be showing up for the in-person meetings. Or if I anticipate missing my early week deadlines.
