Quick clarification for newbies: you don't have to use all the prompts--though that does make for a fun fic!--but since one of the categories for voting is "Best Use of Prompt" we do recommend using at least one. From now on, we will try to have 2-3 prompts each round that are not HP-specific.
As you know, this is the Official Discussion Post. If you feel like chatting, and we hope you do, pop in here and let us know how it's going. Please do not discuss your fic/art. You can discuss ideas, drinks, how wasted you are, your favorite Hogwarts classes, your love/hate relationship with the change of the season, plans you may have been putting off for the last 2+ years, or whatever floats your boat. Just don't discuss your fic/art. This is an anonymous fest until after the reveal, and we don't want hints being given as to what you're writing about. :)
And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but keep in mind the majority of our players are HP people. Anything goes!

You will receive an email from us confirming that we got it. If you don't get an email, we didn't get it. Your fics/art will be due by midnight on Sunday, April 24th. Voting will begin on April 25th and last until Friday, April 29th.

I even posted a sober-edit of it to AO3, but I've decided to not bother with that anymore. I think the drunk typos are part of the charm of Firewhiskey.

Date: 2022-04-23 11:36 am (UTC)I know! Because of a relatively busy schedule yesterday, I wasn't really home until 9.30pm (I'm in Europe), so it was actually difficult for me to get to a decent level of intoxication before I was so tired I just wanted to sleep and forget about it all.
But as I don't know if I'll be able to participate in the next edition, it had to be now I tried my hand at it.

Date: 2022-04-23 09:07 pm (UTC)Same. Mostly because I remember making some drunk updates to social media when I was younger, where, despite being quite drunk, I still managed to write correct (if vaguely embarrassing) sentences. ;)
I wonder if it's because I'm writing in another language - I noticed I wrote slower yesterday, because I had to think harder about what I wanted to write in English.
I guess it's something to work on in the next round - accepting that my English is going to get seriously weird, if I write while drunk.
