And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but keep in mind the majority of our players are HP people. Anything goes!

July request: I'm going to the Con*Strict con in Henderson, Nevada in mid-July so I hope that a July FWF would be before or after that. I'll be there from July 11th to July 20th.

I will put that in my calendar. Incidentally that's almost exactly when my son will be in Greece. He was meant to go in 2020 so you can see how that went. Lol

Yeah, I do know how that went. I had to roll over fancon regs from 2020 to 2021 and then from 2021 to 2022. I'm going to Con*Strict this summer, but I still rolled over some of those 2022s to 2023.

What's the story on your son having chosen Greece to visit?

Yeah, they thought maybe 2021 as well but that quickly was obviously not gonna happen.

So.... These teachers from one of the schools my kids went to started organizing overseas trips, primarily for 8-11th grade students. My daughter went to England, Scotland and a quick stop in Paris for her trip between 10th-11th grade. She also did Costa Rica as her graduation present. ANYWAY lol we wanted him to go but he's a bit pickier tbh and I knew Greece or Italy was probably the most likely one he'd want to go on--big on those classical eras--so when they offered it summer before his senior year it seemed perfect. We've been waiting a long time for it.

I think there's something about an "era" with these travels for young people. when I was in high school in the 1970s I did not know one single grade school or high school person travelling abroad. In recent years (other than COVID years) it seems to have become practically a norm.

(Gah. I am still so coherent. Well, about to finish my first bottle of wine and move on to the bottle of artisanal barley ale.)

A July Saturday and starting before my bedtime would be great! (And I truly hope that by then I'll find some of the motivation I lost about a month ago.) There'll just be a son's wedding on July 9, but I'd be able to take part on any other day in July or late June (if I get the long summer holiday I NEED.)

I do understand wanting to get to the summer holidays!!

I will have to check the calendar but the very last week of June I'll be at the beach. :D We may have to do a poll and see whether people prefer July 2nd (which is part of 4th of July weekend for us Yanks though the timing is meant for the Europeans mostly anyway) OR July 30th (my 29th wedding anniversary ROFL but if we're day drinking in my time zone, who cares).
