Ray Kowalski and his dad are tinkering with the spark plugs in the GTO. Ray is really happy that he and his dad are on speaking terms again and bonding over car maintenance like they used to do. Good thing that Damian Kowalski isn’t a mind-reader though, because this is Ray’s car maintenance brain on sex – everything nowadays makes him think about his unrequited longing for Benton Fraser, his cop partner and best friend.
Misfiring Motor: an engine will misfire when bad spark plugs delay the combustion effect – a misfire means a cylinder in your engine is not producing the power it should – it may lead to long-term damage if you don’t fix the problem. C’mon Fraser, you know there’s a spark between us just waiting for combustion. C’mon c’mon, my cylinder is not getting the chance to produce the power it should, and it’s gonna lead to long-term damage!
Engine Knocking: while accelerating you will hear your engine making a knocking sound – that sound is caused by your spark plugs not detonating properly and not igniting all the fuel. The fuel and vapor that did not ignite will eventually catch fire and detonate, causing that knocking sound in your engine. Fraser! Fraser! That knocking sound? The knocking sound I want to hear is the sound of us knocking boots! And nnrrgghh what it does to me when I think of your Mountie boots! That leather hugging your firm muscled calves. C’mon you are not giving me the chance to detonate properly and ignite all my fuel!
Rough Idling: a delayed spark makes it harder for your engine to idle properly. Yeah Fraser, I’d like it rough with you, but not rough idling – these feelings I got for you, these delays on the spark between us, are definitely messing with my engine.
Hard-starting Engine: if your car is hard to start, you might have bad spark plugs -- your engine needs strong sparks to get all cylinders firing on time -- a new set of plugs and wires might be needed. So Fraser, what? I know there’s strong sparks between us! What new thing do I need to get us firing together at the same time?
Engine Hesitating: the engine may hesitate while accelerating, which occurs when the engine is not responding to the driver – this occurs when the engine is sucking in more air than it should during the combustion process, causing a delay in power delivery. C’mon Fraser! Thinking about sucking when I’m thinking about “hesitation while accelerating” and “delay in power delivery” is making me crazy!

Meanwhile, the ghost of Fraser’s dad has a few things to say…as always.
“You know, Son, I don’t mean to be tinkering with your relationships....”
“Oh, of course you do, Dad. It’s like now that you’re dead you want a hand in everything.”
“Well, perhaps it’s just that being dead has allowed me to see a bigger picture. I’d like to plug the gaps in our relationship…grandchildren would be nice…and not something the Yank can provide. “
“Really, Dad, this is bordering on embarrassing…”
“If you only knew what he is thinking about you while spending time with his father!”
“Oh dear! Don’t tell me you’ve been eavesdropping on them!”
“Alright then – I won’t tell you. But I will tell you this – he wants you in that ‘partnership is like a marriage’ way. And I want you tell me this! Do you feel the way he feels?”
“Well…ah…yes.”
“Then, like our RCMP motto says: ‘Go get your man!’ “
“That’s really not our motto, Dad. It’s ‘Maintiens le droit,’ ‘Maintain the right.’ “
“Then never mind the motto and go get him anyways…and think about adoption options for same-sex couples."
