"Sir, I thought maybe this should be something you work on," Auror Armistad said, wincing.
Harry sighed. "What is it?"
Armistad handed over a folder and Harry opened it.He skimmed the information and then looked up at the junior Auro standing nervously in front of him.
"You did right." Harry admitted. "I'll take care of this."
Armistad let out the breath he had been holding and nodded. "thank you, sir."
Harry leaned back and read the entire file, slwoly. He sighed, rubbing his forehead. He left his Head Auror office and went in search of his partner.
Harry stood in the doorway to Severus' potions lab. He waited for Severus to acknowlede him, to make sure he didn't disrupt a poition at a critical point.
"What do you need?" severus asked.
"Armistd brought me a case that he thought I should handle," Harry said. "Once I read it, knew it was something we should do."
"What is it?" Severus turned to face his husband.
"There is some... leakage of magically enhanced Muggle artifacts," Harry said. "There has been an increased number of Muggle artifacts that have magical qualities in one area of Britain."
"WHere?" Severus asked with a frown.
"Ottery St. Catchpole."
Severus sighed. "Arthyr Weasley."
"Arthur Weasley."
After the war, Arthyr had retired from the Office of Misuse of Muggle Artifacts. It was suspected that Molly had a lot to do with that, especially with Fred's death. Arthur had taken his Ministry Pensioun, the money Harry had liberally handed out to the memebers of the Order of the Phoeniz, and --rumor also soad -- a stipend from Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes, and retreated to the Burrow.
"What are you working on?" Harry asked.
"The new version of Wolfsbane," Severus replied. "I'm trying to get it to work for a three day perioud, so 'wolves can take it one or even two days before the full moon and the potion still works for them."
"That would be good," Harry replied. "It makes it easier to distrobute if there's a wider window that the potion works in."
"This is closer, but not quite right," Severus said. "Not sure what to tinker with next."
"I'm sure you'll ge t it," Harry replied. "Done for today?"
"Give me a chance to clean up and put on fresh robes," Severus replied.
"Not a crisis," Harry nodded. "Take your time."
"Then give me an hour and I'll come up to your office," Severus replied.
"Sure. I don't have any meetings scheduled, come up when you're ready," Harry said.
Back in the Head Auror's office, Harry looked a tthe stack of paperwork that has somehow doubled in the short time he was away. He reached into the pile and started working.
About an hour and half later, Severus tapped on Harry's door. "I'm ready, if this is good for you."
Harry pushed the report he was reading away from him. "I'm more than ready. the paperowkr on this jon is going to be the death of me," he complained. "I'm going to nag for a Debuty Head so that someone else reads these reports. It makes no sense for me to spend time reading endless rougtine reports. I could be doing more substantial work but I'm bogged down reading every report."
"I'll remind you of that," severus said, seriously. "I'm ready when you are."
Harry sighend off on one last report and pushed it aside. "Ready."
They wen t down to the Ministry apparation point and went to the Burrow.
At the ward line, they were met by Percy.
"Hey, Percy@ Good to see you! Your'e dad home?" Harry asked cheerfully.
"Harry?" Percy asked.
Harry sighed. "Routine business," he admitted. "But we have to check on you r dad."
"What has he done now?" Perscy repled, worried.
"We just need to talk to him directly," Severus replied.
"He's in his shed," Percy replied. "Go on down."
"Thanks!" Harry replied.
They walked through the field to the shed that Arthur had always used as a workshop. Harry tapped on the door.
"arthyr?" Harry called.
"Harry! Severus! Welcome!" Arthur invited them inside. "Have a seat!"
Harry and Severus found seats in the shed.
"What can I do for you?" Arthur asked.
Harry shifted in palce. "We've had some complaints about magically infused Muggle artifacts in this area. And, well, sorry, you're the first person that comes to mind."
Arthur grinned. "It's good to be thought of, but it shouldn't be me."
"Who has access to your shed?" Severus asked.
"The family, for the most part," Arthur admitted. "the kids and the grands come through here all the time."
Harry sat back and considered. "I'm going to go with... enthrusamm rather than intent. I do need you to put a ward around your shed that won't let anyone take your Muggle things outside the shed. That would make a lot of poeple happy."
Arthur looeked thoughtful. "I can do that," he agreed.
"That should solve a lot of problems," Harry said.
"Come. Molld woyld love to see you!" Arthur invited. "It's almost dnner time and there's always plenty since we never know hwo willb e showing up."
"We don't want to impase," Severus demurred.
"It's not an imposition," Arthur assured them. "Please stay."
Dinner was warm and cheerful,, Molly glad to see them.
That night in bed, Severus leaned in to murmir to Harry. "Arthyr gave me something you shoudl like...."
"Oh, really?" Harry wondered what it could be.
