Quick clarification for newbies: you don't have to use all the prompts--though that does make for a fun fic!--but since one of the categories for voting is "Best Use of Prompt" we do recommend using at least one. Also, we added 'Dad' as one of the prompts to help with anyone not doing Harry Potter. LOL In future we will try to have 2-3 prompts each round that are not HP-specific.

As you know, this is the Official Discussion Post. If you feel like chatting, and we hope you do, pop in here and let us know how it's going. Please do not discuss your fic/art. You can discuss ideas, drinks, how wasted you are, your favorite Hogwarts classes, best/worst 'Dad' moments from the books/movies, what you'll do if COVID is ever actually over, or whatever floats your boat. Just don't discuss your fic/art. This is an anonymous fest until after the reveal, and we don't want hints being given as to what you're writing about. :)

And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but keep in mind the majority of our players are HP people. Anything goes!

Torino is getting us started before rushing off (returning shortly with rum) and Shelly will be along in a bit with her usual bottle of Jack. (Don't worry. Not drinking the whole bottle.) Such a cascade of comments and so much fun to see such commenting...but I have gotten "stuck" between getting into the comments and getting my cocktails mixed. In other words, I haven't even started drinking yet because I'm trying to get caught up on comments...and starting to wonder if that is even possible....

Well, I went ahead and had something to eat. It was time to feed the spouse and I ended up having some of what I made for him: linguine with chicken and broccoli, accented by my home-made tomato-heavy spicy pasta sauce.

Now, it's about damn time that I start drinkin' and writin'!

The pandemic made a cook of me. Before COVID, I ate in restaurants almost all the time -- since March 2020 I've been making every single meal a home-made meal except for twice a month that we walk to a local pizza place and get a pizza to take home -- other than that, no take-out food and no delivered food -- it's all on me to cook or bake every day.

I've been using comment tracking as an excuse to procrastinate and I jusst checke dand I have 144 unread messages! Def not catching up on those before I finish what Im writing.

Nearly a full day later and I haven't gotten to the bottom of the comments yet. Turning on comment-tracking was definitely a mistake. :-)

A fun mistake, but still a mistake. Next round, I'll have to remember to spend more time writing and less time chatting.

Yes, the comment tracking! I turned it on and was almost immediately swamped with comments! Eventually I turned off the tracking so I could work on ~~getting drunk~~ writing the fic, but I do think that participating in the comments is part of the FWF experience that I don't want to forego.
