Hey, everyone! How are you doing out there? Did everyone survive intact? Hopefully, no one suffered any morning after ill-effects. :)

If you turned in your piece, by now you should have gotten confirmation. If you've emailed it in but didn't hear back, please send it in again! Our email is fwfdrunkmods@gmail.com.

You have until midnight EST Sunday to turn in your piece if you haven't already. Remember, no editing allowed! If you passed out before you finished or need to add a header, that's acceptable, but no correcting or editing with the fics and/or art itself.

Normally this is where I announce about voting but I do have an important question for participants.

Unless there were folks who weren't chatting, I believe we did not have 6 people this round. I'd love your thoughts about whether we should vote since there are 6 categories and it could be very lopsided. We could post anon for a few days then simply do reveals, for example. Anyway, leave a comment if you have any thoughts you'd like to share.

I am alive and well and my biggest regret was that drunk-me thought it was a good idea to eat an entire full-size bag of Doritos just before bed. (Head is fine. Mild heartburn.)

I agree we should just skip votes. I think the Proud Participant award counts as an extra badge of honor this round. :-) And if we aren't waiting for votes to come in, we can do reveals faster. (Unless you get surprised by more submissions than I expect, but it was indeed weirdly quiet last night.)

Yeah, unless a surprising number of entries come in, I think that will probably be the plan (or unless someone else comes up with a better idea how to do it).

I will be very sad if we skip voting. For me that's a part of the FWF fun and I'm not clear on why "lopsided" would matter or even why we can't fill all six categories by voting for some of the fanworks in more than one category (which BTW I've done some other times anyways).

It's about noon and I'm going to sit out on my front porch with that bottle of Blood Orange Mimosa and commence The Drunkening. Temperatures have been in the 20s and 30s for months -- today it's a "balmy" 50 degrees Fahrenheit and I'll be sitting outside on my front porch for the first time since last autumn.

The drunk!fic I was working on last night has stalled and I'm putting it aside to start a different fic -- in a different fandom even! -- after I start feeling sloshed.

It says it's 56F here! Though there are still piles of snow everywhere. LOL I don't have grass at all in my front yard yet.

The situation with voting is that as of right now I have 2 entries in. I do expect a couple more hopefully. Maybe if we get fewer than 6 submissions, we could just vote on 3 categories? Like Least Coherent, Funniest and/or Favorite? Again, still thinking aloud at this point. But if there are 3 entries it just doesn't seem fair that one, in theory, could win say, 5 of the 6 (can't be most and least coherent LOL).

Yeah, we still have piles of snow everywhere too! (And we have grass in our front yard but it's the dead grass from last year LOL that I'll get to when I do Spring clean-up).

Expect that there will still be entries turned in tomorrow because that's when I expect to turn mine in and that's when I expect verushka70 to turn hers in.

Your idea is brilliant about reducing the number of categories...although I suggest that one of the reduced number be "Most Coherent" because -- let's face it -- I'm the one who often wins the "booby prize" for no matter how drunk I am my spelling and grammar usually don't suffer much because of it.

Halfway through a 750 ml bottle of Blood Orange Mimosa. This stuff is way too easy to drink...glug glug glug. I figure to finish this bottle soon and start on crafting a vodka cranberry cocktail with the fresh cranberries I've been soaking in a bottle of vodka for two days.

Got several hundred words done but I see it as being still near the beginning of the story arc. Going to get some sleep now, and more FWF ficcing in the morning.

Two glasses of Prosecco on an empty stomach while standing out on my back deck and enjoying the sunlight. Yeah, it's winter, but the sky is clear and the sun felt warm.

Let me count the ways...." and that's where the threaded comments from Feb 13th were made and on Feb 14th you have that Feb 14th post headed ""Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same...." and that's where the threaded comments for Feb 14th were made, but I didn't see a Feb 15th post where I could comment for today and anyone else who was still ficcing today or who just wanted to check in could post.

Wow, that's long-winded. Drunk me is very long-winded. I did not mean "a post asking who still follows the comm". I meant someplace for those who want to post comments on the 15th -- like me -- could post comments where you've dated it Feb 15th rather than like this where it's the 15th but my today's comments are at the bottom of yesterday's thread.

there's no post that starts comments for Feb 15th, so now it's Feb 15th but I'm still commenting in the Feb 14th threads.
