Just now arriving here at close to 10 PM Chicago time. My regrets to all who have been posting comments for hours, but I can only cope if I go forward from right here rather than backtracking.
For those who don't know why I've been missing so far today from FWF: My laptop was in the repair shop all week because I was having crash dumps and artifacts. I was so worried about not getting it back in time for FWF, but I got it back yesterday, so I thought all was cool. Then when I got it home I discovered that the repair tech had only done a partial job and that there was still something wrong with it so I took it back and hung around the vicinity of the repair place for many hours, dreading the thought that if they didn't get it right I would be losing over a decade of fannish stuff, vids and docs and fanart. Now I gotta say THANK FUCK it's all fixed with everything saved and the laptop functioning so I can be just late for FWF rather than absent.
I was gonna make cocktails during this FWF, but with this late start I gotta move faster on the drunkening. I'm working on drinking this whole bottle of Huckleberry Wine. It's a fandom-related bottle in that every year when I go to Con*Strict in Henderson, Nevada a few of us fen stay a day longer than the con and go to some of the wineries in Pahrump. This is one of the bottles from Pahrump.
