I recently watched both the USA and UK versions of Ghosts and while there were a handful things that I think the USA version did better, there were also a lot of glaring "Why?" moments. (In the UK version a ghost who burned to death has the power to make people smell fire when she walks through them. In the US version a ghost who died of dysentery has the power to make people smell farts when he walks through them. That just sums up the difference between UK/US adaptations right there.)
