I'm honestly surprised at how well the kids deal with tech. I think I'd rather deal with with the kid than the grandma most times anyway.
My biggest duty isn't even really technical support today (it could happen, but unlikely), it's mostly assigning people to the correct "rooms" when they log-in, uploading which worksheets they are supposed to be working on, and then jumping in as a substitute instructor if extra students show up unexpectedly. (We have a couple of parents who seem to think the schedule is just a suggestion.) And it's slow enough today that if that happens, I can still assign one more student to another instructor before I have to help out.
It's so tempting to go, "They don't really need me today, I could start drunk-ficcing now"... but if they do need me, it's important that I retain my ability to type accurately so ... still sober and bored.
And when I say it's slow today... I literally have more instructors than students online for the next half hour so one of my guys is just twiddling his thumbs too.
