For serious. I have some inexplicably warm fuzzy memories of some of the shittiest periods in my life. Like... I remember being a teenager and life was full of just genuine suckage, but there was this ice cream stand a few blocks away from school and I remember going there with friends and getting this gigantic soft serve ice cream cone and hanging out at the picnic tables nearby and ... every now and then, I'll have this weird sense of "I miss that" and I have to remind myself that "No I don't!" There was nothing good about that time period and my friends at the time were shallow and not emotionally healthy to be around and yet... sometimes I'll hear an old song and suddenly I'm 16 and eating ice cream with one of my dumbass friends and thinking "Life was better then" but it wasn't.
