Summary: Harry and Draco are sent on a camping mission by Kingsley. Draco is less than pleased.

Author's Notes (if any): This is unfinished because I’m so terribly lame and can’t hold my alcohol. Oh, what could have been. Sigh.

“If you think we’re sharing a tent, Potter, you’ve got another thing coming.” Draco sneered, clenching his fists in the material. “It’s bloody April, you don’t need to keep warm. I, however, am quite delicate so I need all of the protection that charms won’t allow.”

Harry rolled his eyes, biting back a laugh. The sun cascaded along the red rocks, creating jagged, thin shadows … which, if Harry thought about it, mirrored the shape of Malfoy’s jaw. He wondered how his fingers would feel tilting it upward, running his tongue along Malfoy’s lower lip before tracing his adam’s apple and dropping to his --

No. Best not to think about that now.

Clearly, Malfoy was raging mad, and Harry figured he ought to be as well, but he was too tired and sweaty to care. After all, Malfoy made him pitch the tent, hovering behind him like a shadow, silent. Harry could imagine his posture -- brows knitted, arms crossed, one hip jutting out, and if the grass wasn’t so bloody thick, he’d wager Malfoy was tapping his foot, the picture of impatience. Nevermind the fact that he probably looked like a god.

“It’s a shame I’m not you, Potter, or I’d give Kingsley a thorough talking to about this. It’s absurd.” Draco muttered, though his usual vitriol had mellowed out considerably. For that, Harry was glad. Maybe now, he could actually finish constructing this shoddy tent.

“For Merlin’s sake, Malfoy. Quit hovering, would you? So I can finish this, oh, I don’t know, today?” Harry shot back, back rigid, though there was a playful glint in his eye.

Oh you should totally come back to this after the fest is over! love the descriptions, the way Harry thinks about Draco, that whole jagged, thin shadows bit. It's great!
