Quick clarification for newbies: you don't have to use all the prompts--though that does make for a fun fic!--but since one of the categories for voting is "Best Use of Prompt" we do recommend using at least one. We try to have a few prompts each round that are not HP-specific.

As you know, this is the Official Discussion Post. If you feel like chatting, and we hope you do, pop in here and let us know how it's going. Please do not discuss your fic/art. You can discuss ideas, drinks, how wasted you are, your favorite actors or musicians, the state of the world (a nice, safe topic LOL), or whatever floats your boat. Just don't discuss your fic/art. This is an anonymous fest until after the reveal, and we don't want hints being given as to what you're writing about. :)

And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but though we're getting more diversity, we're still fairly HP-focused. Anything goes!

How's everyone doing? What are we drinking tonight? What should I have for dinner?

That is an excellent FWF tradition (and I hope that some day we get a chance to do some Fireball shots together IRL, living as we do not very far from each other).

The roommmate is away for one more day so I'm free after work tomorrow. (Sadly, I have to be a responsible sober adult in the morning through 2:30 in the afternoon Saturday.)

I've never done a two-day drunk-fic, but I thikn I'm about to give up and call it a night. (I have to be awake and functional in eight hours and actively teaching children math in nine hours and no more fic will be happening with those deadlines looming.)

It's now 2:25 Saturday afternoon. When you've passed that "have to be a responsible sober adult in the morning through 2:30 in the afternoon Saturday" are you going to continue the FWF drinking and writing? Me, I am still at it!

It took me a few more hours before I managed to get back to it (had to drop off some more things for roommate at the hospital), but I did it! Fic finished and submitted!

In addition to the traditional Fireball shots, I also established that pineapple vodka mixes nicely with Canada Dry. I'm starting to sober up at this point though.

Pineapple vodka? I did not know that was A Thing! Does it work if I just mix some pineapple juice I have on hand with some vodka I have on hand?

Damn...I really wish we "locals' were hanging out IRL right now. Yes, I know you finished your fic and YAYS for that, but I am still drinking and ficcing and it would be so great right now to be with someone who understands this.

That's the kind of word I ALWAYS need to check. And privilege (though there are two spellings to that which complicates matters).

Not all of us are Italian, Daye. It's OK. LOL If you ever want an EXCELLENT recipe though, I'd be happy to share mine. I got it out of a magazine, no joke, nothing at all like what my MIL used to make, but it's delicious.

This was something they were supposed to deliver to me. They tried on Saturday and we were gone for the weekend. I scheduled the re-delivery online, like the form says to do and that was for Tuesday. Still no package today after they spend 20 minutes in the back looking for it. I'm stunned, I tell you, STUNNED that they found it after I'd left!

Well, I've made a mess of this. I replied to a comment you deleted so I deleted mine but obviously you replied to me first. Oh well. *clown shoes*

I guess it's a good thing they found it in the end but UGH.

No clown shoes. I'm currently still sober enough to realize I hadn't commented in reply to the main entry.

I'm planning on fixing that in the very near future.
