Quick clarification for newbies: you don't have to use all the prompts--though that does make for a fun fic!--but since one of the categories for voting is "Best Use of Prompt" we do recommend using at least one. We try to have a few prompts each round that are not HP-specific.

As you know, this is the Official Discussion Post. If you feel like chatting, and we hope you do, pop in here and let us know how it's going. Please do not discuss your fic/art. You can discuss ideas, drinks, how wasted you are, your favorite actors or musicians, the state of the world (a nice, safe topic LOL), or whatever floats your boat. Just don't discuss your fic/art. And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but though we're getting more diversity, we're still fairly HP-focused. Anything goes!

It's now 2:25 Saturday afternoon. When you've passed that "have to be a responsible sober adult in the morning through 2:30 in the afternoon Saturday" are you going to continue the FWF drinking and writing? Me, I am still at it!

It took me a few more hours before I managed to get back to it (had to drop off some more things for roommate at the hospital), but I did it! Fic finished and submitted!

In addition to the traditional Fireball shots, I also established that pineapple vodka mixes nicely with Canada Dry. I'm starting to sober up at this point though.

Pineapple vodka? I did not know that was A Thing! Does it work if I just mix some pineapple juice I have on hand with some vodka I have on hand?

Damn...I really wish we "locals' were hanging out IRL right now. Yes, I know you finished your fic and YAYS for that, but I am still drinking and ficcing and it would be so great right now to be with someone who understands this.

I'm a sucker for flavored vodka, but I'm often disappointed because taste-wise vodka is a bit strong for me. (I'm fine with the strength of the booze, but I don't like my booze to TASTE like booze.) What I really like are fancy cocktails that more skilled people have put together for me, but I'm too cheap to pay restaurant cocktail prices.

I just made my umteenth cocktail with vokdal, buttermilk, and maple syrup...uhm, VODKA, not vokdal..and buttermilk. It just tastes like fine bourbon-barrel-aged maple syrup and buttermilk. As I said to torino, this has become my signature FWF creation and next FWF I'll be asking for input about naming this cocktail.

As we say in due South fandom "not part of a normal desire". In this case, the desire to use up this bit of buttermilk while making cocktails.

And I am so fucked up on these buttermilk cocktails it pains me that I can't serve one to you RIGHT NOW.

Fic sent to drunkmods a few hours ago.

When I woke up this morning I thought "Gah! I should have cleaned up from the Buttermilk Vodka Cocktails before going to sleep! I'm going to be starting my day with a mess from last night!" When I went into the kitchen though, what I discovered was that drunk!me actually had cleaned everything up and sober!me just didn't remember doing it. 🙃

I wish drunk!me who did such a good kitchen clean-up job was here right now. I've got about an hour's worth of kitchen clean-up to do right now from casserole-making and bread-baking...and drunk!me must have been very cheerful about clean-up work.
