Quick clarification for newbies: you don't have to use all the prompts--though that does make for a fun fic!--but since one of the categories for voting is "Best Use of Prompt" we do recommend using at least one. We try to have a few prompts each round that are not HP-specific.

As you know, this is the Official Discussion Post. If you feel like chatting, and we hope you do, pop in here and let us know how it's going. Please do not discuss your fic/art. You can discuss ideas, drinks, how wasted you are, your favorite actors or musicians, the state of the world (a nice, safe topic LOL), or whatever floats your boat. Just don't discuss your fic/art. This is an anonymous fest until after the reveal, and we don't want hints being given as to what you're writing about. :)

And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but though we're getting more diversity, we're still fairly HP-focused. Anything goes!

So, I was about to initiate the use of my new cocktail shaker when -- DUH! -- I realized that I have no ice cubes. That is something I typically only have on hand when there's company coming over...and I stopped having company over in 2020 because COVID. Now I've gotta make ice cubes and who the hell knows how long it's gonna take for them to freeze enough for the cocktails.

Well, I'll just have to drink more straight liquor while I'm waiting for that freeze...and oh, write some fic now too. (I have decided what fandom in which to write and some ideas around the prompts...but less than a formed plotbunny.)

OH NO!! Yeah, you might just have to drink without them. Sad.

Just now started freezing water for ice cubes at 6:45 local time. We'll see how long it takes for them to freeze. Meanwhile, Imma gonna open that new bottle of grapefruit vodka and drink some of it straight up.

Grapefruit is one of my favorite flavors/scents. Sounds delicious.

Yowza! This grapefruit vodka is delish! BTW, it's grapefruit and botanicals -- Ketel One Grapefruit & Rose Vodka -- and it both smells and tastes like grapefruit and roses.

*continues waiting for those ice cubes to fully freeze*

I bought my fridge so I'd have cold and cold running ice cubes/crushed ice.

Erm... yeah.

A fridge ice-maker is the best! I never though I needed one until I had one and now I'm spoiled and can't imagine going without.

A couple of years ago we had to replace the fridge that came with our house and this was my only requirement.

Funny, as in typical English fashion, I do not put ice in my drinks otherwise.

That was one of the things I loved about my time in England: I do not like iced drinks. The only reason I'm making ice cubes at this very moment is because the cocktail shaker use calls for shaking with ice cubes.
