Firewhiskeyfic is SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1! (So don't start drinking yet! Though we'll understand if you do.)
For this round, we highly recommend... 25 Best Fall Cocktails

Sleepy Hollow Cocktail with Absinthe!
Or perhaps....

Sleepy Hollow Cocktail with cranberry!
The festivities will begin at 9PM BST/4PM EDT/1PM PDT on Saturday, October 1! Hopefully, the time works for you but remember that you can come and go as you please, start early, leave late. It's all good as long as while you are writing, you're drinking. :D
We are hosting on our DW community again this round. If you do not have a DW account (yet *g*), you should be able to comment with OpenID or anonymously.
Your Prompts!
Nearly Headless Nick
Godric's Hollow
Jack-o'-lantern
Graveyard
Harvest Party
Bewitch
A rundown of the rules. A more thorough explanation will be posted on the night of the event.
1. This round will take place on Saturday, October 1, 9PM BST/4PM EDT/1M PDT (and last until you finish or pass out). Due to sucky time zones mucking everything up, if you'd like to start earlier or later, that's fine!
2. Your fic and/or art will be due approximately 48 hours from the challenge start time. For this round, that means Monday, October 3rd by midnight your time. (We would prefer to turn them in the same night or the next morning, but we understand drunk/hangover emailing might be a tad too challenging.)
Please note: The extra time provided may not be used for editing or adding on or fixing typos, etc. (If you were too drunk to add a header, please add one when sober. ;)) Also note: NO BETAS ALLOWED. We recommend you don't even look at or reread your submission before turning it in. (You can be surprised right along with the rest of us!)
3. Submissions will be posted anonymously on October 4th and voting will be open for various categories through Saturday, October 8th. Please vote! (But not for yourself! :P)
4. All fandoms are welcome! We're traditionally very HP-focused here, but if you get inspired to go Marvel or Supernatural or Doctor Who, etc., etc. (or a crossover!) that's totally fine.
5. And finally, you must be of legal drinking age in your country in order to participate.
New!!
6. This is a 420-friendly event for those who'd like an alternative to alcohol.

I am thinking of perhaps adding a bit of pumpkin pie spice blend to a White Russian and see if it works. So basically this one but with the spice blend mixed with the regular cream instead of using a pumpkin spice creamer. :)

I've using this recipe for a few years, and even got my parents hooked on adding a pinch of it to their coffee in the fall/winter. :)
(The spice blend is listed under pt.3, "Use pumpkin pie spice")

That "Vanilla Chai Old Fashioned" that is mentioned in the list of Halloween/fall themed drinks looks very intriguing! I'll probably end up making that chai simple syrup needed for it sometime this week.
For those, who like me might live in a pumpkin spice and puree-deprived corner of the world, I found a cocktail named "Halloween" in a cocktail recipe-book:
3 cl tequila OR vodka
2 cl Malibu
2 cl banana liqueur
2 cl pineapple juice
2 cl heavy cream
Pasteurised egg-whites and grenadine for the rim
A pair of plastic vampire fangs (for decoration, can be omitted)
"Dip the edge of the champagne flute in the pasteurised egg-whites and then in grenadine and let it dry. Put all the ingredients in a shaker with ice cubes and shake until ice cold. Strain into the glass. Adorn with plastic spiders and the plastic fangs* (if you feel like it) and make "blood stains" on top of the drink using the grenadine. To be served with black straws."
*I guess the part about plastic spiders in the drink could prove a little dangerous later in the evening, haha. Perhaps that's best for the first serving. ;)
(The recipe was developed by Pernille Florio, who at the time of the book's release had been a bartender for 20 years in some fairly high-profile places in Denmark. I haven't tried this one yet, but the cocktails I have tried from the book have been pretty damn on point...and strong.)

(And probably also because Halloween really only has become a bit of a holiday over here in the last 15-20 years. When the Donald Duck-magazine ran a pumpkin pie-recipe in the late 90's it was the first time I saw an actual recipe for that pie - otherwise it was only something you encountered in American movies. And you were a bit unsure if those big pumpkins were even edible...)
