Putting this note at the top: This round is a bit different. A marathon rather than a sprint. The pace will probably be a little slower, less intense than our usual events. Hopefully, someone will be around when you arrive but don't despair if it's quiet at times throughout the day.

Quick clarification for newbies: you don't have to use all the prompts--though that does make for a fun fic!--but since one of the categories for voting is "Best Use of Prompt" we do recommend using at least one. We try to have 2-3 prompts each round that are not HP-specific.

As you know, this is the Official Discussion Post. If you feel like chatting, and we hope you do, pop in here and let us know how it's going. Please do not discuss your fic/art. You can discuss ideas, drinks, how wasted you are, your favorite actors or musicians, the state of the world (a nice, safe topic LOL), or whatever floats your boat. Just don't discuss your fic/art. This is an anonymous fest until after the reveal, and we don't want hints being given as to what you're writing about. :)

And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but though we're getting more diversity, we're still fairly HP-focused. Anything goes!

What I'm drinking (so far): Greyhound Cocktails made with Clark & Sheffield Small Batch Vodka and fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. I think I might add some lime juice to the next one.

About 300 words written, and alas, they are coherent....

oh no! I am also possibly too cocherent . There has been almost as much eating as drinkng over on this side of the city. Though I don't think the fic could be accused of coherence.

I think it's tougher to judge the eating/drinking ratio when the event starts before usual (for some of us *g*) eating time.

I <3 that in my time zone this FWF started in the morning.

I also <3 making the hours as "accessible" as possible to as many fen as possible.

I'm completely onboard with the extended licensing hours, it's just on previous ones I didn't have to think about eating/drinking it just started when it was time to drink. :D

That sounds delicious! I can’t do grapefruit anymore because statin, but your cocktail makes me wish more than usual that I could.

I'm going to finish eating first and then its classic G&Ts or Brambles.

Is Brambles the name of a cocktail that I don't know, or is it the brand name of a liquor?

Bombay Gin also make a Bramble Gin with Blackberries and Raspberries.

So basically make a G&T with that instead and get a fruit tinged G&T.

It's easily available cos it's made by Bombay Gin and that's one almost all US liquor stores carry.

You can slip it in - oooh missus - to a lot of drinks that just ask for gin and make something new and delicious.

Right now I am so wishing that you and I could sit down together and have cocktails IRL (well, not right now when there is FWF ficcing to be done, but I'm sure you know what I mean).

Yeah, now I'm starting on the one with the addition of lime juice. Somehow it's making the grapefruit seem even more grapefruit-forward...or maybe my taste sense is more heightened by being more drunk.

I am going to try that next time I have one. It's hard to imagine the perfect beverage being improved but I'm ready!

Yeah, it is already such a simple and perfect cocktail, but the addition of the lime really does crank it up yet another notch.

I'm a nit abnoyed with myself. I got all kind sof fruit jiuce this morning - everything but geapefruti!! Grrr. Oh well, watermelon will be interesting if I get that far
