Being in the Person of Interest fandom tends to encourage gaining knowledge about bespoke tailoring. I remember reading an article about a bespoke tailor's apprentice where he mentioned this was one of the things formal tailoring was supposed to accomplish, if necessary, and I guess it stuck with me. ;D
