Well. I had the sushi and half the sake and fell asleep… for two hours. When I woke up it was 9:30, I wasn’t buzzed, and I wasn’t interested in the sake sitting on my coffee table. So I went out, bought the ouzo (and a Sauvignon blanc), went to the food store to buy the stuff to make my tabouli, and came home to cook (because “the flavors need to marry overnight”).
I have cut the tabouli prep time down to 1hr, but I think it’s because I made less of it this time (the potluck tomorrow is only 5 of us, not the 20 I am usually cooking a potluck dish for).
Anyway. Ouzo is poured and I have added water so I could watch the magic of it clouding up. It’s like potions! And when it is in my bloodstream I will write about this crazy idea I had…
