I even lost a few favorite places before the pandemic. Favorite bakery (that had been in business for literal decades) closed due to the owners retiring. A favorite barbecue place was just mismanaged and went under. And then the pandemic hit and I lost even more. Lots of good places are still around, but it's still sad to lose some favorites.
