Quick clarification for newbies: you don't have to use all the prompts--though that does make for a fun fic!--but since one of the categories for voting is "Best Use of Prompt" we do recommend using at least one.
As you know, this is the Official Discussion Post. If you feel like chatting, and we hope you do, pop in here and let us know how it's going.
And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but keep in mind the majority of our players are HP people. Anything goes!

You can discuss ideas, drinks, how wasted you are, your favorite Hogwarts classes, best/worst romantic moments from the books/movies, what you'll do if you can ever leave the house again, or whatever floats your boat. Just don't discuss your fic/art. This is an anonymous fest until after the reveal, and we don't want hints being given as to what you're writing about. :)
Like all the best hostesses, we'll both be ducking in and out all evening. /o\ Torino is getting us started before rushing off (returning later with rum) and Shelly will be along in a bit with her usual bottle of Jack. (Don't worry. Not drinking the whole bottle.) How about you folks? What's the drink that's got you through the last year or the one you look forward to having the next time you actually can go to a restaurant or bar?

I think my emotional age is somewhere between nine and thirteen. Sometimes I have these surreal moments where I think back to some moment in my childhood and realize that I'm older now than my mother was at the time and I just... I can't reconcile that at all.

The Donny and Marie: (are you old enough to know what the hell that references?) Southern Comfort, Cranberry juice, orange juice. Tastes exactly like Hawaiian Punch. Very dangerous drink. Will gibe you the headache of the 70's.

McDonald's. But specifically old McDonald's when I swear the Big Macs and the fries tasted way better because they weren't trying to pretend they weren't healthy. (I think the fries used to be made with beef tallow instead of vegetable oil. I don't know what they changed about the Big Mac recipe, but it's definitely not the same.)

It's especially frustrating since now a lot of nutritionists are saying that lard and beef tallow are actually better for you than vegetable oil (because that involves a lot of artificial processing) so... they made it taste less good and it's not even really any better for us? ugh.
