I went through a scotch phase but haven't been able to drink it since the person who turned me on to it dumped me :-/ and also sometimes it tastes too much like licking an ashtray.

The Draco one I think would be really good -- though as you say, it's a summer drink. But hey, it's summer somewhere! Do you have ideas on how to get the jalapeño infused into the drink so that it's really spicy? would you let it sit in the gin for a couple of days or muddle it and strain it or what?
