Quick clarification for newbies: you don't have to use all the prompts--though that does make for a fun fic!--but since one of the categories for voting is "Best Use of Prompt" we do recommend using at least one.

As you know, this is the Official Discussion Post. If you feel like chatting, and we hope you do, pop in here and let us know how it's going.

And just so we're clear, you don't have to write pr0n, though it definitely makes for interesting reading when characters change right in the middle of shagging because you're too drunk to remember who you're writing about. ;) You can write for any fandom (including original), but keep in mind the majority of our players are HP people. Anything goes!

You can discuss ideas, drinks, how wasted you are, your favorite Hogwarts classes, snarkiest Snape lines from the books/movies, the best way to prevent frostbite, or whatever floats your boat. Just don't discuss your fic/art. This is an anonymous fest until after the reveal, and we don't want hints being given as to what you're writing about. :)

Tonight your mods are taking turns hanging out. Torino (that's me! Hiiiii!) will start the festivities, Shelly will swoop in after dinner for a little while as she's not feeling well (BOO!!!!), and I'll be back again... probably after Shelly passes out. ;) Not sure yet what we'll be drinking. I need to poke around in the liquor cabinet and see what the options are. LOL How about you folks? Margaritas? Firewhiskey neat?

Thanks! It seems the two of us had the same timezone to tackle but quite different situations and solutions. I started perhaps twenty-four hours later than you (after a small stage performance at a HELMET library) and resorted only to beer. I hope you’ve recovered well after Friday night.

Thank you for this reassurance! Twenty-four hours later I was at least tipsy enough to make so many typos that I had to try to fix some of them immediately – and often only tried and failed, I think – and otherwise to just write fast and feel that all the surprising ideas I got were awesome. Now to figure out what to write as the summary and title for the header, I have to read the thing through…
